Where to?

For now I'm over social media. I'm tired of endlessly scrolling everyone's highlight reel of their life. Where's the edification? How does all of that benefit me? I find myself playing the same game, posting pictures of vacation or adorable pictures of my girls just to see how many likes I can obtain. What's the point?
Even more-so, I would use social media as an outlet and an inbox of memories so that I could quite easily look back on my beautiful life. Now, it's so hard for me to look at any of that because I'm no longer married and I don't see my children every day. When I'm not with them I miss them so much and feel guilty for not being with them. When I am with them I am extremely happy but often feel overwhelmed. Am I doing right by them? I am just a fragment of what I once was.

The only thing I know that I can do properly start my day is to pray to God. That God would give me grace and hope to continue on. This morning I stare straight ahead, still laying in bed completely underwhelmed but I get up. Then in the car three songs play back to back and help me. I love how God can work in so many different ways, we don't necessarily have to be listening to Christian radio, because God is bigger than that. I'll list below the first three songs that I heard but I want to first explain more.

God knew I needed to hear these songs. Now I'm sure it's not uncommon to have no motivation on a Monday morning but still, this is what I needed to hear. When can I find a place where I'm not overwhelmed, not stressed or depressed and full of anxiety? I don't want to have to rely on people anymore to do that for me because they'll fail me and I them every single time.

Father, please renew my spirit so that I draw only to you each and every time. I am exhausted and I don't want to go on like this. I know you want more for me, please lets move on from where I am.

On the radio I first heard Three Days Grace - Mountain
Every day I'm just surviving
Keep climbing the mountain
Even when I feel like dying
Keep climbing the mountain
Another night I'm barely holding on
One step away from being dead and gone
In my life to die another day
Is this life that I've been living?
All that's meant for me?
Every day I'm just surviving
Keep climbing the mountain
Even when I feel like dying
Keep climbing the mountain
Every time I think I'm over it
I wake up in the bottom of it all again
I'm still surviving
Keep climbing, keep climbing
The mountain
The higher I go the harder I fall
So I don't look down, I don't look back at all
And when I wish it all would turn to black
I try to see the light and push the darkness back
Every day I'm just surviving
Keep climbing the mountain
Even when I feel like dying
Keep climbing the mountain
Every time I think I'm over it
I wake up in the bottom of it all again
I'm still surviving
I keep climbing, I keep climbing
The mountain
So if I'm numb, already too far gone
And if I feel a pulsing, I keep carry on
When I'm lost and want to fade away
I tell myself to live to die another day
Every day I'm just surviving
Keep climbing the mountain
Even when I feel like dying
Keep climbing the mountain
Every time I think I'm over it
I wake up in the bottom of it all again
I'm still alive then
Keep climbing, keep climbing
The mountain
Then by Audioslave - Show me how to live
And with the early dawn
Moving right along
I couldn't buy and eyeful of sleep
And in the aching night under satellites
I was not received
Built with stolen parts
A telephone in my heart
Someone get me a priest
To put my mind to bed
This ringing in my head
Is this a cure or is this a disease
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life
Now show me how to live
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life
Now show me how to live
And in the after birth
On the quiet earth
Let the stains remind you
You thought you made a man
You better think again
Before my role defines you
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life
Now show me how to live
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life
Now show me how to live
And in your waiting hands
I will land
And roll out of my skin
And in your final hours I will stand
Ready to begin
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life
Now show me how to live
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life
Now show me how to live
Show me how to live

Then Papa Roach - Born for greatness
I am a man at war
And I am fighting for
All of the broken people
All of the people thrown overboard
They always tried to shame us
But they don’t speak the language
No we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
somebody sound the alarm
(Oh, oh oh) a fire was set in the dark
(Oh, oh oh) it’s time that you know
No, we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
It doesn’t matter if the world has gone mad
If we just hold on, if we just hold on yeah
The sky is falling and the world has gone mad
And we sing our songs, and we just hold on yeah
So if you’re running, stop running
One life, one chance, start living
Sing it louder just to let the world know
No, we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
We’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
We’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
They say that I’m reckless
Because I’m relentless
They spit on my face, and curse on my name
They’re taking my life in vengeance
Yeah, you can try and blame us
And try to take what’s sacred
But we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
somebody sound the alarm
(Oh, oh oh) a fire was set in the dark
(Oh, oh oh) it’s time that you know
No we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
It doesn’t matter if the world has gone mad
If we just hold on, if we just hold on yeah
The sky is falling and the world has gone mad
And we sing our songs, and we just hold on yeah
So if you’re running, stop running
One life, one chance, start living
Sing it louder just to let the world know
No we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
We’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
No we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
Somebody sound the alarm
It’s time that you know
It doesn’t matter if the world has gone mad
If we just hold on, if we just hold on yeah
Sing it louder just to let the world know
No we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless We were born for greatness
No we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless We were born for greatness
No we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless We were born for greatness
We were born for greatness
No we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless
We were born for greatness
